CBD, or cannabidiol to be fancy, is a compound isolated from the leaves of the hemp plant. It is known for having calming and anti-inflammatory effects on humans and pets, and it does not cause the "high" feeling that you get from marijuana. CBD has been used for a very long time and it is safe for humans and pets.
At GiandWin we offer THC-free and 3rd party lab certified CBD products made in the USA to ensure maximum quality and safety for you and your pup.
First, it depends from the size of your pet.
For dogs, the consensus is to start with about 2mg CBD per 10 lb of body weight. That means that if your pup weights 50 lb, he will be able to use 2 * 5 mg = 10 mg of CBD.
However, we noticed that a range between 2-4mg per 10lb of body weight tends be more effective for some dogs, while being perfectly tolerated. This means that you could give your 50lb dog up to 20mg CBD per dose.
Always monitor your dog for signs such as excessive drooling, lethargy or lack of appetite, since they can be a sign that you gave him too much. If that's the case scale back the dose.
The majority of the side effects are caused by the presence of THC, but our products are THC-free, to tell you that your pet's safety is our priority!
If you are unsure, you can start with a dose lower than the suggested one. The directions on the individual packaging will also help clearing any confusion, but for any questions feel free to contact us anytime.
